To what extent can u show your love Jilted Delta teenager pulls gun on girl, parents

AN 18-year-old boy identified as Ese
Akporia at the weekend allegedly pulled
a gun on the parents of a girl who
turned down his love advances.
The incident took place in Edere Aviarra,
Isoko South Local Government Area of
Delta State.
It was gathered that the suspect had
been making love advances to the girl
identified as Rosemary Emukpo, but
because the suspect also allegedly
belongs to a dreaded cult group in the
area, the girl turned down the request.
Angered by her refusal, the suspect,
with others suspected to be his cult
members, stormed the family
compound of the girl, where he
allegedly threatened to deal with her if
she further turned down his love
request.
It was learnt that as he and his gang
members engaged in argument with the
girl outside, the girl’s parents emerged
from their rooms and sought to know
why the boy and his gang were
threatening their daughter.
But they were surprised when the boy
reportedly pulled a gun and threatened
to kill the girl and her parents for daring
to question him over his love proposal
for their daughter.
An eyewitness, Paul Ejiro, said that
police operatives in the community,
who were called, swung into action and
arrested the lover boy suspect while
others escaped.
When contacted, Police Public Relations
Officer, Mrs. Celestina Kalu, confirmed
the incident and the arrest of the
suspect.
She said police received information that
suspected cultists went to the house of
a girl in Edere-Aviarra and asked her for
friendship, but the girl refused.
Following her refusal, Mrs. Kalu said the
suspect started exchanging words with
the girl and when her parents tried to
intervene, one of the suspects pulled
out a pistol and threatened to shoot
them dead.
