How a slice of potato can treat your skin pigmentation

We all want to have the flawless skin of a
radiant Greek goddess, but sometimes
life can get in the way and ruin our plans.
There are a million and one causes of skin
pigmentation: from prolonged exposure
to the sun, pregnancy, hormones and
even hereditary factors. As a result, you
may not be able to avoid getting those
uneven patches on your skin.
But don’t despair; your Greek goddess
skin is still attainable. These tips and hints
will help you prevent and treat
pigmentation:
1. Natural remedies are life
There may be many natural causes of
pigmentation, but there are also many
natural remedies you can try. Most of
them can be made with ingredients you
already have in your house.
· Rub a slice of potato on the affected
areas
· Lemon and lime juice also act as a
natural bleaching agent
· Aloe Vera gel is not only soothing, it
helps numerous skin problems
· Same goes for turmeric powder, which is
great at fighting dark spots
Remember that these treatments won’t
work overnight; it will take some time
before you start seeing results.
2.  Take care of your skin
Having a regular skin care routine can be
instrumental in treating and preventing
pigmentation, particularly the most
common kind: hyper-pigmentation.
Taking care of your skin also includes
ditching some of those bad habits.
Wikihow says that popping pimples,
scratching and picking at your skin is a big
no-no, especially if you already have skin
pigmentation issues. If you feel the need
to scratch, moisturise instead.
3. Use the right products
There are products on the market that
help prevent and fight pigmentation. As a
rule Studio 8 Beauty recommends you
use products that are rich in antioxidants
and avoid products that are highly
fragrant or contain harsh alcohol.
4.  Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate
Exfoliation has numerous benefits for
your complexion.  According to Sheknows ,
exfoliation rids the surface of the skin of
skin cells containing pigment.
Mario Badescu Skin Care says that
exfoliation works best for dry, sensitive
and mature skin and should be done 1 – 2
times a week. However, if you are
suffering from acne, you should avoid
using facial scrubs, rather opt for mild
exfoliates.
5. Always use sunblock
Regular use of sunblock is your biggest
weapon against pigmentation. We all
know how harmful UV rays are, and being
exposed to them for long periods of time
can lead to pigmentation.
Idiva recommends that you use a
sunblock of SPF 30 or higher on your face.
If you are a nature-lover and are
contantly outdoors, Idiva recommends
you apply sunblock every 3 – 4 hours.
But when you do, you will be closer to
your #Greekgoddessskingoals...
